Step 1. Snipping tool

The method of taking screenshots with snipping tool is very old. This approach has been around since the time of Windows Vista. 

However, this app is no longer visible from the Start menu. For that the user has to use the search bar. 

Then you have to manually take a screenshot with the New button every time for a specific image.

 

Step 2. Snip and sketch

The Snip and Sketch tool can be used very easily.  The user keyboard shortcut is Windows key + Shift + S.  Then you can take a screenshot as you wish.

 

Step 3. Game Bar:

Users can use the game bar to take screenshots.  The user keyboard shortcut is Windows key + G. To set up a screenshot, go to the game bar settings.

 

Step 4. Windows logo + volume down

If someone uses a Microsoft Surface device, there’s an easy way to take a screenshot of the tablet. 

Touch the Windows logo at the bottom of the Surface screen and press and hold the volume-down button on the side of the tablet.

There are 4 ways to take screenshots in this method. To take a screenshot, first take a screenshot of that page. Open that page. Then click on the new icon added to the right of the address bar. Now you will have 4 options.

1. Select the first option (Capture Page Region).
If you only want to take a screenshot without the web page i.e. browser or Windows background then select the first option (Capture Page Region).

2. Now select (Capture Visible Content).
If you want to take as many screenshots as the webpage shows on the screen, then select the 2nd option (Capture Visible Content).

3. You select (Capture Whole Page).
If you want to take the whole open page as a screenshot. Then select the 3rd option (Capture Whole Page).

4. Select where you want to take a screenshot.
Select the 4th option to take a screenshot of any part of what is displayed on the monitor.

After selecting the option you need from the above 4 options. If you select the 1st or 4th option, you will see a quadrilateral on the screen. He took the mouse pointer to any corner of the quadrilateral. It will be like an arrow, in this case drag and select the part you need and click the (Ok) button.

2. Locate ⎙ PrtScr root.

The “Print Screen” key is usually found on the top-right of the Dell keyboard. Unlike other computer manufacturers’ keyboards, the “Print Screen” key usually does not contain anything else.

  • The “Print Screen” key can be written in several different ways, but “PrtSc” and “Print Scr” are the two most common variants.

10. Type a name, then click Save.

  • This will save your screenshot to your computer’s default save location, which is usually the document folder.

You can change the save location by clicking on a folder on the left sidebar.

 

Method 3 of 3: Using snipping tools

 

1. Open the Start menu.

  • To do this, either press the Win key or click the Windows logo in the lower-left corner of the screen.
  • Snipping tools are not available for Windows XP.

5. Click a size. This will be applied to your screenshot template.

6. Change boundaries.

  • By default, all snippets will have a red border around them. You can change this by clicking the Options button. This will open a new window, allowing you to disable borders or change colors.

 

7. Click New. This is the left side of the snipping tool bar. Your screen will fade and your mouse cursor will become crosshairs.

8. Click and drag your mouse across the screen. As you do this, a rectangle will appear and encircle your selected area.

  • If you choose Full-Screen SnipClick will take a new screenshot.

 

9. Release the mouse button. This will take a screenshot of anything within the rectangular area.

10. Click File. This is in the top-left corner of the screenshot page.

11. Click Save. This option is near the middle of the drop-down field.

12. Type a name, then click Save. Doing so will save your screenshot to your computer’s default visual media storage location, which is usually the image folder.

You can change the save location by clicking on a folder on the left sidebar.
